Northboro is located in Page County in southwest Iowa.

Northboro was platted in 1881, shortly after the railroad arrived into the neighborhood.

During the National Bank Note Era, the population of Northboro was 197 in 1910, rising slightly to 246 in 1930. It's highest population was 246 in 1930, and the current population is estimated at 56 (2016).
