The Phenix Bank of New York Obsolete $1, Haxby NY-1880, signed by N.G. Ogden, Cashier and Henry Cary, Assistant President, dated January 1, 1850. Engraved by Rawdon, Wright & Hatch New-York, the phoenix rises from the flames at the top, left of center. The right end shows scrollwork with a "1" counter at the center. the New York Comptrollers Seal is at the left, and a red ONE protector is across the bottom NY Ch1374
