The Connecticut Bank, Bridgeport, Obsolete $1 dated July 1, 1861, with signatures of Charles Foote, Cashier and P.C. Calhoun, President. Printed by American Bank Note Co., New York, the design features a vignette of a maiden seated on a dock among goods ready to be shipped. This is flanked by a portrait of Washington at lower left and the Connecticut coat of arms at lower right. The note has a red-orange border, dual red-orange 1 protectors, and a red-orange and white ONE - 1 - ONE protector panel at lower center CT Ch927
