Connecticut had numerous Obsolete Banks that converted to National Banks between 1863 and 1866.

Bridgeport (Fairfield County)

The Connecticut Bank, Bridgeport, Haxby CT-40, Obsolete $1 dated July 1, 1861, with signatures of Charles Foote, Cashier and P.C. Calhoun, President. Printed by American Bank Note Co., New York, the design features a vignette of a maiden seated on a dock among goods ready to be shipped. This is flanked by a portrait of Washington at lower left and the Connecticut coat of arms at lower right.
