It would be great if we could find out 2 things here:
1. Did the scandal result in W. E. Crites leaving the cashier position? We might be able to determine this if we found information on why H. G. Williamson (his successor) took the post. I've done some searching in this regard but I don't feel I have exhausted it.
2. What ultimately happened to Robert Crites? I can't find anything on him after July, 1934 until he pops up in PA years later. Newspapers don't seem to carry the outcome of the case. If someone knew how to research the legal proceedings, that would be a good start.
