A letter dated Oct. 10, 1928 to Mr. B. Clifford Goode of Martinsville, Virginia from Cashier Elbert C. Price stating that 5 shares of Townes-Cawley Funeral Home, Inc. were accepted as collateral for a $300.00 note and that 3 shares of the preferred stock of the Crain Furniture Company, Inc. were being returned. The letterhead has the bank's logo and officers with Dr. G.T. Thomas and T.J. George lined out as T.J. George succeeded the late Dr. Thomas in 1925 and J.R. Clark became vice president. Elbert C. Price was Cashier and L.B. Rucker was Assistant Cashier.
